Derek’s Dive Domain

I’ve had some news from a friend of mine, Steve, who lives down in Gosport. He came to the NEC Dive Show last year, and He was talked into going into the Try Dive Pool.  (I was playing with the rebreathers at the time).  He came out with the biggest grin on his face, and promptly walked over to the stand opposite which just happenned to be his local dive school, and booked the PADI Open Water Course.

I’d not heard from him for a while, but got a message from him the other night to tell me that he is doing his OW course at the start of April, so looks like there will be a new diver in the water shortly! Lucky bugger, living on the coast though. I’m so jealous of him in that respect! Must remember to introduce him to the joys of YD too!

He has learnt valuable lesson 1 of diving already. The credit card *will* take an inevitable bashing
